Studio's notebook - part diary, part guide, part conversation. Come back often; it will keep growing

READ is where Cocuzè thinks out loud. It’s where the philosophy behind our spaces travels beyond rooms and objects - into memory, ritual, soil, sound, materials, and the quiet science of how homes are made.

We’ll talk about homes and habits, food and the ground it comes from, music and intentional silence - but also about what we build with. For instance: cement became common in India barely a hundred years ago, and yet it has almost erased older, climate-wise methods. Meanwhile, stepwells in Gujarat, lime-plastered havelis in Rajasthan, temple complexes in Hampi - all built centuries ago with stone, lime, mud, and astonishing craft - are still standing, still breathing with the weather. Why did we move away from materials that aged beautifully, repaired easily, and kept rooms cool?

These are the kinds of questions we want to leave with you - not to be nostalgic, but to be more deliberate.

Cocuzè Read

You’ll find long, reflective essays here, and short, workable notes. Some will decode things like lime that breathes, flooring that doesn’t fight your climate, or how a space can be planned around music. Others will simply ask you to look again - at the vessel you cook in, the paint you choose, the way you host.

All of it has one purpose: to excite you about living more intentionally, and to help you notice what already surrounds you.
